Recruitment and Employment Services Assistant (Part-Time)
This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers as well as administrative support to the Recruitment and Employment Services team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Providing assistance with the recruitment process to internal and external customers via phone, email and in person.
- Assisting applicants with the online application process.
- Supporting special Recruitment and Employment Services Team projects, initiatives and events, such as Connections Day, Job Fairs, etc.
- Providing additional general administrative and clerical support for other HR functions on an as needed basis.
- Tracking reference letters that are received, scanning them, and following up on references that are not received.
- Running reports in a timely manner and ensuring data is accurate.
- Scanning documents into an electronic filing system.
- Demonstrated excellent administrative practices and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service experience and the proven ability to build strong working relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professionalism and adaptability.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task.
- Demonstrated typing and data entry skills and computer knowledge in a Windows-based environment, preferably Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
