Health Sciences Student Assistant-FWS

The Department of Health Sciences is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented student assistant for the  academic year. This is a Federal Work Study position. The student must be FWS eligible and able to work 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide assistance to faculty/staff as needed
  • Record management, computerized and manual
  • Filing, data entry using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software
  • Operation of copier and scanner
  • Complete projects and any other duties assigned by faculty and staff in a timely manner
  • Occasional assistance at main office reception desk if needed
  • Respect the confidentiality of documents being handled and the department
  • Be responsible, professional, and dependable at all times

Qualifications:

  • Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
  • Willing to work 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills, in-person and via various technology
  • Professional attitude
  • Shows initiative
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Proficient with Word and Excel
  • Health Sciences Majors preferred

  • Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
