About the PositionAs an Automotive Service Technician at Steven Nissan, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality vehicles to our customers. This role is designed for an experienced technician who takes pride in accurate diagnostics, precision repairs, and maintaining the highest safety standards. You will also perform Virginia State Inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting customer trust and dealership reputation.

- Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders efficiently and accurately
- Conduct Virginia State Inspections in full compliance with regulations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Inspect, maintain, and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, steering, and electrical systems
- Test‑drive vehicles and verify repairs for quality assurance
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding repair needs and timelines
- Provide accurate estimates for additional recommended work
- Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Maintain proper documentation of services performed
- Stay current on evolving automotive technologies and repair techniques
- Minimum 5 years automotive technician experience required
- Valid Virginia State Inspector License required
- ASE certifications strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic ability, including electrical and engine repair
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and customer‑service mindset
- Ability to learn new technology, systems, and repair procedures
- Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Compensation based on experience, skill level, and certifications
