Pay Rate: Hourly – $15.97 per hour

Work Schedule: 1500 hours over one year (average 29 hours per week, some evening and weekend work)
General InformationJames Madison University, a Division I member of the NCAA and Sun Belt Conference, is seeking a Creative Services Assistant to be housed within the Creative Services unit. This is a part‑time position for a calendar year with no benefits.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist Creative Services staff with content production to meet the needs of coverage of 18 sport programs at the NCAA Division I level.
- Create graphics for promotion of sports programs and events.
- Assist with social media management; capture photos and videos at sporting events.
- Edit content for primary use on social media.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant institutional, Sun Band, and NCAA rules.
- Continuously evolve strategies for content production and promotion of an athletics program in the current digital age.
- Experience in a creative services field (photography, video, graphic design, social media).
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to create graphics; proficiency with video production software.
- Knowledge of the creative services field, including experience with photography, video production, basic graphic design, and social media management.
- Highly motivated and able to balance multiple tasks.
- Ability to produce high‑quality work on tight deadlines.
- Availability for some evening and weekend work.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
