Rental and Service Utility Associate

The Rental and Service Utility position supports both rental operations and the Service Department by assisting customers, managing rental reservations and agreements, coordinating equipment movement, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, supporting rental fleet readiness and presentation, assisting with equipment pick up and drop off, washing and cleaning equipment after repairs or rentals, and supporting technicians, service advisors, and rental staff as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with rental inquiries, reservations, agreements, returns, and related paperwork.
  • Prepare, close, and verify rental agreements and invoices for accuracy.
  • Arrange and maintain the rental fleet to promote rental sales, customer convenience, and safe operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, housekeeping, and safety in the shop, rental yard, lot, and equipment display areas.
  • Coordinate the movement of equipment between the lot, rental area, shop, and customer pick up or drop off locations.
  • Wash and clean equipment after rental use or completed repairs as part of the "Ready for Delivery" process.
  • Support shop technicians, service advisors, rental staff, and management as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, workplace procedures, and required training expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a service, rental, customer service, or equipment-related environment preferred.
  • Prior experience with construction, agricultural, material handling, outdoor power, or heavy/diesel equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, telephone, computer, attention to detail, and accuracy skills required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
