Neurosurgery Locums Job in Virginia 24-Hour Call June and Ongoing

One of our partnering facilities is seeking Locums Neurosurgery coverage beginning in June through the end of the year. This will be standard 24-hour call coverage with general spine cases and minor cranial work. The surgeon will be helping to establish a patient base in a community with identified demand. Given the timeline of need, they are seeking candidates with an active Virginia license and DEA.

Job Details/Requirements:
Start:
June 1 and ongoing for at least 6 months
Coverage needed: 4 weeks per month - willing to split between two candidates

Shifts:

Monday 7am - Monday 7am
Average caseload: 2 per day
Average new admits: 2-3 per day
Procedures: general spine cases, minor cranial work

Call Details:
24-hour call
Average weekday callbacks: 5
Average weekend callbacks: 2

Facility Details and Candidate Requirements:
Support staff:
Full office support, no other providers on site
Level II trauma center
Beds: 200+
Board Certified in Neurosurgery required
Virginia license and DEA required
