Redeemer Classical School has been serving families across the Shenandoah Valley since its founding in 2004, growing from 15 middle school students to 295 students in Pre-K through 12th grade. The school partners with families to provide a comprehensive classical Christian education, fostering both intellectual and character development. This is a full‑time, on‑site position for a Business Manager at Redeemer Classical School located in Harrisonburg, VA. The Business Manager is a member of the school’s Leadership Team (LT) and is responsible for the school’s finances and operations. This includes the accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, accounting, HR, building and grounds maintenance, IT, and risk management. As a member of the LT, the Business Manager also provides strategic leadership in support of the school’s mission, vision, and values.
The Business Manager reports directly to the Head of School.
- Be able to affirm and uphold the Statement of Faith and the Guiding Principles of Redeemer.
- Affirm and live in accordance with the Faculty and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Be a member in good standing of a local church whose theological and doctrinal standards are in agreement with what is affirmed in Redeemer’s Statement of Faith.
- Possess the maturity, experience, training, and certifications necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position (including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, systems thinking, vendor relations, organizational efficiency, and HR).
- Be able to represent the vision and values of the school to its various constituents, demonstrating an ongoing posture of humility, confidence, and joy in the Christian gospel.
- Communicate effectively in writing and in speech, and in a timely manner.
- Is friendly, personable, and respectful of others. Works well with others.
- Is organized and takes initiative.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Enroll his/her child(ren) at Redeemer, unless the Head of School and Business Manager agree that this would not be feasible.
