Job DescriptionThis position is for our Post Grad Program at BRCC and will assist Special Education teachers in secondary adapted programs.
Note:
Special Education Teacher Assistants hired in Secondary Adapted programs are required to be on the RCPS approved driving list.
Candidate must possess the ability to develop and maintain an empathetic attitude toward disabled students; work cooperatively with others in a positive manner; willingness to learn specialized instructional and management techniques with disabled students, as needed; willingness to seek and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED)/First Aid certification; ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Education and ExperienceEducation equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED. Two years of college, 12 undergraduate credits in math/English or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment preferred.
