Job DescriptionOpen Until Filled. 10-month position.
Special Education Teacher Assistants hired in Secondary Adapted programs are required to be on the RCPS approved driving list.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Candidate must possess the ability to develop and maintain an empathetic attitude toward disabled students; cooperate with others in a positive manner; be willing to learn specialized instructional/management techniques with disabled students, as needed; seek and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification; communicate and develop effective working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or GED. Two years of college, 12 undergraduate credits in math/English, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment preferred.
