Field Service Technician – Harrisonburg/Allentown, PA
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for on‑site installing, maintaining, and repairing Kodak and multi‑vendor systems, including hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems to the standards outlined in training, SOPs, and product support updates. You will maintain all equipment in optimal working order, ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication, training, and preventive maintenance, and manage assigned customer territories, escalations, and potential sales leads.
Responsibilities- Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products and configurations at customer sites.
- Diagnose and optimize product performance.
- Advise customers on preventive maintenance, equipment maintenance agreements, support services, training, and configurations that improve product performance.
- Manage territory administration: customer calls, service reports, expense reports, weekly time reports, and tracking of preventive maintenance and upgrade requirements.
- Perform necessary servicing and preventive maintenance of equipment; install, maintain, and support equipment systems.
- Provide operator training and ongoing support for customers.
- Develop strong relationships and strive to exceed customer expectations.
- Liaise with customers to drive issues to resolution.
- Drive revenue growth initiatives assigned by management.
- Build and foster relationships with sales partners.
- Educate customers on the latest corporate initiatives and products; inform management of issues affecting performance and suggest improvements.
- Maintain company assets in accordance with company guidelines.
- Enter all required information and engagements into the designated service system.
- Consistently meet all performance goals.
- Present and maintain a professional image at all times.
- Learn, retain, and apply new technologies and complex products.
- Working knowledge of PC operating systems, software applications, and basic networking fundamentals.
- Diagnose, repair, and solve system/equipment issues.

- Required:
A+ Certification or equivalent experience servicing PC hardware and software. - Associate’s degree, or certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, technical trade school studies, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred:
Three or more years of related field service experience. - Previous experience managing a territory.
- Experience in the Graphic Arts industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of electro‑photography / digital printing; basic understanding of color theory.
- Solid understanding of electro‑mechanical devices and complex electro‑optic and robotic high‑tech equipment.
- The FE services may involve high‑availability/mission‑critical accounts where outages can occur.
- Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned business interruptions.
- Provide on‑call, after‑hours support or work different shifts based on company needs.
- May include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- May take calls outside the assigned territory or district.
- Travel willingness, possibly internationally, for short‑ and long‑term assignments.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, passport, and other required information.
- Obtain security clearance as required by customers (e.g., bonding in Canada).
