General Information:
JMU Parking and Transit Services is seeking students for part‑time employment in its enforcement and special events programs. Student employees are expected to work a minimum of 8 hours per week but may work a maximum of 20 hours per week if they choose.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrol campus and issue citations to vehicles parked in violation of JMU's parking regulations.
- Participate in parking operations for campus special events.
- Assist visitors with directions and general campus information.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable interacting with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Capable of working efficiently without direct supervision.
- Able to work outdoors, on foot, in a variety of weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work alone or to divide responsibilities with a partner or team.

Conditions of Employment:
Students must be degree‑seeking students, enrolled on at least a half‑time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
