Patient Access Representative

Sentara Healthcare -  - Responsibilities:
Register patients and verify identity and eligibility in the electronic health record;
Review schedules and physician orders to register patients for appropriate services;
Scan and verify documents such as insurance cards, IDs, Living Wills, and POAs;
Explain and collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances with secure transactions;
Greet patients and families, answer questions, and guide patients to the correct service areas; may perform scheduling, pre-admission and discharge duties
