Pay Range$16.25 – $20.78 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Role OverviewAre you a reliable driver who enjoys helping create positive experiences for others? Join VMRC as an Occasional Transportation Driver and play a key role in supporting our community.
Responsibilities- Provide safe, smooth transportation for residents across campus using the Outdoor Shuttle.
- Conduct friendly one‑on‑one interactions and make each trip comfortable and enjoyable.
- Drive off‑campus to transport residents to Life Enrichment (LE) programs and activities.
- Work closely with the LE team to support and enhance programs and events, both on and off campus.

- 8.5–20 hours a week
- Some evenings and weekends
- On‑campus shuttle on Fridays from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

- High School diploma or equivalent; CDL required; current Virginia driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Physically able to maneuver in small spaces while performing wheelchair lockdowns;
First Aid and CPR certification within 60 days of hire. - At least 1 year of experience working with older adults preferred.
- Positive personality; ability to collaborate calmly, cooperatively, and professionally.
- Exceptional customer service orientation, in person and by phone.
- Self‑motivated; capable of working independently with limited supervision and effective teamwork.
