Established in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in 1983, Camp Horizons is a diverse community of campers and staff members from across the United States and around the world working, playing, and learning together. Since our founding, we have been fully accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), an organization that has been ensuring that American summer camps provide only the safest and highest caliber of programming for almost a century.

Offering a variety of activities that challenge our campers to reach their full potential as individuals and team players, we are dedicated to making sure that campers experience their best summer ever at Camp Horizons and come to see their new camp friend as their new camp family.

Are you ready for your next challenge? We are looking to add to our Maintenance department and to perform a wide range of facility maintenance, repair, landscaping, and construction projects contributing to the successful operation of Camp Horizons. Work schedules will vary depending on weather, time of the year, business volume and unforeseen repair and maintenance issues.

• General Landscaping duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Mowing, weed eating, leaf removal, tree removal, cutting and splitting firewood, weeding, and mulching, road maintenance.
• Provide support in the maintenance and repair of Camp Horizons mechanical systems to include but are not limited to:
  • HVAC units
  • Water and sewer systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Food and Beverage Equipment
• Operation of power equipment to include but are not limited to:
  • Power Tools, mowers, tractors, shop tools
• Snow removal, when necessary

• Ability to operate power tools
• Ability to operate mowers and UTVs
• Ability to work independently and follow direction
• General background in residential building and construction preferred
• Successful completion of a background check
• 2 years of facility maintenance and repair preferred
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate the above power tools and vehicles
• Valid Driver’s License
