Custodian

This Custodian role is a part‑time position (no benefits) and a preferred hiring rate of $16.12 per hour; however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy.

As a Custodian with Public Works, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring facilities are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use by the public. Primary custodial work will be located at City Hall (409 S. Main Street), with the potential to assist at other City facilities as needed. You’re the ideal candidate for this position if you have an eye for detail and enjoy working independently while also providing excellent customer service to colleagues and the general public utilizing the facilities.

• Completion of the tenth grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or GED preferred but not required for consideration.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Anticipated work hours are Mondays through Fridays from 6:00 am – 10:00 am; however, the exact schedule will be dependent upon a variety of factors including the selected candidate’s availability and business needs.
