Position OverviewThe Field Operations Manager is responsible for onsite supervision at various jobsites and overseeing the construction labor needs of customers by coordinating with crew leads in the field. The focus is on effective management, strategic staffing, and ensuring labor resources are optimally allocated to meet project demands.
Key Responsibilities- Work with HR to conduct interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles. Organize and facilitate technical evaluations as required.
- Work closely with onsite supervisors at various warehouses to understand labor requirements, project needs, and any emerging issues. Provide support to ensure effective staffing and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with crew leads in the field to manage labor resources, address staffing needs, and ensure that construction projects are adequately staffed and progressing according to plan.
- Use the HMS (Human Management System) to oversee and manage work schedules for field staff, ensuring efficient labor allocation and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee the allocation of labor resources to different projects and locations, ensuring optimal use of personnel and meeting customer demands.
- Address any issues related to staffing or field operations promptly, working with onsite supervisors and crew leads to resolve conflicts and improve operational performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction sectors. Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients to expand the company's client base.
- Create and implement sales strategies to meet client needs and drive business growth through recruiting and operational management. Work closely with the sales team to align recruitment and field management efforts with sales objectives.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Address client needs and concerns related to staffing and field operations to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Identify and implement best practices to enhance recruitment processes and field management efficiency. Continuously seek ways to improve staffing procedures and labor allocation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, labor market conditions, and competitor practices to refine recruitment strategies and ensure alignment with market demands.
- Collect and analyze feedback from onsite supervisors, crew leads, and candidates to continuously improve recruitment and field management practices.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in business management, recruiting and field supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with candidates, employees, senior management, company departments, project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and carriers.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self‑start, strong work ethic, and a team player.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish.
- A successful candidate must pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
