Our Harrisonburg, VA, location is part of our Taste division and creates a variety of stock broth, soups, and bases. We have immediate openings for Utilities Maintenance Technicians to support our Day shift, 700AM - 700PM, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

What you'll doYou’ll work with the Maintenance team to complete utility repairs, and utilities management, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion. You’ll follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. - Utilities Management
- Maintaining Boiler

- Ammonia
- Wastewater Treatment
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
- Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and gene
- 5+ years of General Maintenance Experience.
- 2+ years Utilities maintenance experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment & food/beverage experience is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is required; associated degree in relevant field preferred.
- Possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following
- Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication
- Ability to be or become or is a Sanitary Certified welder. (outside certification)
- Piping systems
- Electricity
- PLC’s (Programmable logic controllers) – a plus
- Process control instrumentation
- HVAC/R systems
- Process equipment
- Personal Computing
- Boiler experience, license preferred
- Ammonia certifications preferred
- Wastewater treatment preferred
The typical hiring range for this role is $35.00 to $42.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
