Floor Attendant
The Floor Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the production floor and designated work areas. This position supports a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks, removing waste, and following company sanitation standards, safety regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production floors, walkways, workstations, equipment exteriors, and common areas according to established procedures.
- Clean floors using approved cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Remove trash and production waste from designated areas.
- Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
- Follow sanitation schedules to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment, pressure washers, and other sanitation tools.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, spills, or damaged equipment to management promptly.
- Assist with production line cleanups during shift changes or as needed.
- Comply with company safety policies, food safety requirements (if applicable).
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs and documentation when required.
- Support special cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and climbing.
- Ability to work in wet, dusty, noisy, or temperature-controlled environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Compensation
Compensation Range: $18.50/hr
The posted compensation range for this role should reflect the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Qualifications
- Excellent attendance required.
- Must know or be willing to learn all jobs in the Operations department.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to complete paperwork as needed.
- Proven performance and positive attitude.
- Ability to help train new team members and monitor performance.
- Ability to assist with leading hourly team members in a production environment.
- Ability to promote safety, food safety, animal welfare, and operational standards.
- Ability to respond to team member concerns and support team member engagement.
- Ability to follow and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in operations, poultry processing, food processing, production, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with production paperwork, production checks, and department start-up procedures.
New team members must be able to pass a drug, alcohol and background screening post-offer prior to the start of their employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Work is conducted primarily in a manufacturing and poultry production environment. This role requires access to production areas and may require working on or near production lines, including the production line or other assigned departments. The team member must be able to tolerate varying heat, wet, and chill conditions within the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment are required in the production area.
Hair and beard nets are required in the production area. Additional personal protective equipment may be required based on task, location, and safety requirements. This position may require standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, working near production equipment, filling in at various department positions, and occasionally lifting to 70 pounds. This role may also require working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and production needs can change quickly.
