Overview
This is a Federal Work Study position with the Community Engagement and Volunteer Center at James Madison University, offering paid work with local community organizations in the Environment & Sustainability Support category. Students work 6–8 hours per week on projects such as outdoor planting, trail management, sustainability initiatives, and community environmental events while receiving professional development workshops and mentorship throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities- Work 6–8 hours per week on projects such as outdoor planting, trail management, sustainability initiatives, and community environmental events.
- Participate in professional development workshops and mentorship throughout the academic year.
- Current JMU student enrolled in at least 6 credits
- Eligible for Federal Work Study via the financial aid package
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (prioritized)
- Ability to commit to 6+ hours per week for the full academic year
- Willingness to participate in regular workshops and community engagement events
