This position assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the nursing department's functions in accordance with federal and state regulations governing nursing facilities. The role provides oversight and support in key clinical areas, including, but not limited to, the MDS process, clinical education, infection control, and assessment and care planning throughout the facility.

This position collaborates with the Supportive Living service line to ensure care delivery systems align with VMRC’s mission, vision, and values. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, this role serves as the Director of Nursing of record and assumes associated responsibilities.

The Assistant Director Of Nursing Is Responsible For This position assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the nursing department's functions in accordance with federal and state regulations governing nursing facilities.
