Schedule/Hours:
  • Travel/Temporary assignment (duration and specific shifts to be discussed in the interview process)
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse license, valid in Virginia or compact states
  • Minimum of two years' recent CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) RN experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Demonstrated expertise in cardiac surgical procedures, including scrub and circulating roles
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new protocols and team dynamics
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
  • Scrub and circulate during a variety of cardiac procedures
  • Assess, plan, and document preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and teammates to maintain optimal outcomes
  • Apply infection control and safety protocols consistently
  • Support patient/family education throughout surgical care
