Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products labeled as WIP meet established poultry grading standards and internal segregation procedures. This role involves monitoring incoming product quality, maintaining accurate documentation, and verifying compliance.

• Monitor incoming products and staging accuracy.
• Ensure all products are being handled correctly according to food safety standards.
• Perform pre-operational inspections on the AQL area to ensure no food safety hazards are present.
• Complete the respective AQL form for the product being checked. (Retail vs A Grade)
• Accurately record acceptable quality limits on incoming products and be able to communicate findings to management.
• Identify and document defects in AQL form.
• Place product on hold and document accordingly after notifying management.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.

• Experience in quality assurance, food production, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of poultry grading standards is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance standards.
• Willingness to be trained and serve as a qualified designee when required.
