Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will support the executive leadership team by managing the general ledger, directing the month-end close process, and overseeing other related accounting processes. This role requires the ability to work independently, adhere to deadlines, and execute ad hoc financial projects. The position interacts closely with the CEO, CFO, and Controller and offers significant opportunities for professional growth.

• Maintain the general ledger, including posting journal entries
• Conduct bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare financial statements
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Analyze cost accounting reports and highlight areas for improvement
• Formulate financial models for strategic initiatives
• Compile reports for long-term planning by the executive team
• Improve departmental processes and manage special projects for the CEO and CFO

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Self-motivated and driven to improve processes
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
• Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment)

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Prior experience in construction or public accounting
• Previous leadership experience or interest in moving into management
