Maintenance Tech - 1st Shift

Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment in the facility and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the assigned area.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance in the assigned area.
• Perform maintenance duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair with limited supervision.
• Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal efficiently.
• Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
• Respond to plant emergencies including Haz‑Mat incidents, equipment malfunctions, fires, severe weather, etc. as directed by supervision.
• Ensure lock‑out/tag‑out certification.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
• Assist with special projects and duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or manager.

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, and/or electrical.
• Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Basic welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
