Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

SUMMARY

The Occupational Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility. The technician will also perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the assigned area.

The Technician works with hand tools, powered tools, lifts, welding/cutting tools, fabrication tools, compressors, food processing equipment, high voltage equipment, and other tools.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance in the assigned area.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment used in the facility.
• Perform repairs and equipment installation/removal efficiently.
• Maintain good housekeeping at workstations and work areas.
• Respond to plant emergencies including Haz‑Mat incidents, equipment malfunction, fires, severe weather, etc., as directed by supervision.
• Hold lock‑out/toggle‑out certification.
• Complete daily maintenance paperwork for assigned work orders/requests and checklists.
• Perform special projects/duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager.

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in machine maintenance, building maintenance, preventive maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, or electrical work.
• Basic welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Operational knowledge of common hand, power, and industrial tools.
• Valid driver’s license. (Preferred)
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics. (Preferred)
