Position

Pipefitter Helper – Industrial Refrigeration

• Assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repairs of piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for ammonia, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing systems.
• Load and unload construction materials from trucks and into buildings.
• Provide materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to experienced craft workers.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and devices during installation.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Work safely, encourage others to do so, and comply with applicable health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Travel majority of the year to service customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee.

• 1–2 years of commercial/industrial plumbing or pipe fitting experience (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of piping systems and basic construction/shop math (addition, subtraction, division, fraction, multiplication).
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Skilled manual dexterity and ability to work easily and skillfully with hands.
• Positive attitude, team orientation, and effective communication skills with co‑workers and other tradesmen.
