Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman About Steven Automotive Group Steven Automotive Group is a growing, family-owned automotive organization with multiple dealerships and facilities throughout the area. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman to help maintain, repair, and improve our dealership properties.

This is a hands-on position for someone who knows how to fix things, isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, and can look at a problem and figure out how to solve it.

About the Role The Facilities Maintenance Technician / Handyman will be responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and overall condition of our dealership buildings, grounds, and facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance, repairs, landscaping, tools, equipment, and troubleshooting. This person should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and handling everything from routine maintenance to unexpected repairs.

Responsibilities Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout dealership buildings and facilities Troubleshoot and repair common building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues Perform basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and other general repairs Maintain and repair doors, fixtures, equipment, and other building components Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and exterior property upkeep Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Identify maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions Assist with facility improvement and renovation projects Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas Respond to maintenance requests across dealership locations as needed Work with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required Perform additional maintenance and facility duties as assigned

Compensation

Compensation Based on Experience & Knowledge Pay will be determined based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, skill set, and ability to independently handle maintenance and repair projects.

Qualifications Previous experience in handyman work, facilities maintenance, construction, building maintenance, or a related field Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine practical solutions

Experience with general building repairs and maintenance Knowledge of landscaping and property maintenance Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Dependable, hardworking, and willing to take on a variety of projects Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and equipment
