Minnick Schools is a private special education day school for students with disabilities licensed by the Virginia Board of Education.
EnCircle is seeking a Special Education Case Manager.
This position will work at both our Lynchburg and Harrisonburg Minnick School locations.
Please note:
This role requires driving, therefore a "clean driving record" is critical.

- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Current and renewable Virginia teaching license with a Special Education endorsement required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with diverse students with diverse disabilities and backgrounds.
- Ability to serve as a mandated reporter of suspected or reported child and adult abuse and neglect.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and staff information and records in adherence with applicable agency/school policy and applicable laws and regulations.
- Demonstrates excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and families, staff, colleagues, stakeholders, and community members.
- Valid Virginia Drivers’ License and proof of insurance.
- Satisfactory Driving Record in compliance with Driver Requirement Policy.
- Ability to work assigned schedule.
- Basic computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to observe health and safety regulations.
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
- Must not have any of the following violations within the last 5 years:
- Reckless driving, including speeding 20mph or more over the posted speed limit.
- Driving under the influence/impaired/intoxicated or refusing a blood/breath test.
- Manslaughter or negligent homicide.
- Driving after being declared a habitual offender.
- Driving on a suspended or revoked license
- Driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, under the influence, with a blood alcohol level of .04 or higher, refusing a blood/breath test, or violating an out-of-service order.
- Injuring a person while racing - felony.
- Failure to stop at the scene of a crash where there is injury, death, or property damage of $1000 or more.
- Emergency vehicle violation - death.
- Vehicular assault or willful stopping, impeding, or damaging a vehicle.
- Blocking access to the service facility.
- Attempting to elude police.
- Operating an unsafe vehicle.
- Vulnerable Road User – Death.
- Must not have any of the following violations within the last 3 years:
- Passing a stopped school bus.
- Careless driving.
- Three or more minor moving violations within the last three years.
Essential Functions:
May be required to perform any of the following duties:
