CDL A Licensed Driver

Rocktown Transport LLC is hiring CDL A Local Live Haul Drivers in Harrisonburg, VA. Drivers will be hauling live poultry from local poultry farms to a processing plant. Drivers will be safely delivering 3-4 loads per day. Rocktown Transport LLC is a family-owned contract carrier based in the Shenandoah Valley, specializing in the transportation of agricultural commodities including live poultry, bulk feed, and related ingredients.

Compensation

• Average weekly pay: $1,500 - $2,000
  • Paidper load, 3-4 loads per day
  • Average hours weekly: 50-60
• Bonuses:
  • Sign on bonus: $1,500 paid after 45days employed
  • Driver referral bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, $500 paid after 120 days
  • Annual holiday bonus
• Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly

• Level of Touch:
  Drivers are required to secure cages using straps and levers

Equipment

• Late model Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks
• Manual transmission
• Inward & outward facing cameras

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have CDL A license
• Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Previous live haul experience preferred
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission
• Must meet Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
