About This JobOur Personal Bankers are personable, goal‑oriented, and passionate about helping customers improve their financial health. This position is located at the Harrisonville branch.
Responsibilities- Receive the tools, resources, and training needed to succeed and advance within Commerce Bank.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone to meet customers’ financial needs.
- Actively listen to customers, making appropriate recommendations that match their needs.
- Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that improve their financial wellness.
- Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish relationships with other internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex needs are identified.
- Earn more than your base pay through the quarterly incentive program.
- Monday–Friday 7:45 AM–5:45 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:45 AM–12:15 PM.
- Interact with customers in person and over the phone, ensuring their financial needs are met through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfillment.
- Actively listen, understand, and recommend products based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales and service goals.
- Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions that enhance the experience and support sales goals.
- Ensure accurate and efficient completion of financial transactions while complying with all policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to specialists when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong sales skills and ability to provide an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone.
- Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.
- Motivated, organized self‑starter with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Adaptable to varied situations with an optimistic outlook that aligns with our culture and core values.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ year of sales or customer service experience.
- Experience working in an environment with individual and team sales goals (preferred).
Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or a Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education.
For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report that will disclose credit history. If you express interest and are considered, you will be asked to authorize that report.
For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles. This disclosed range reflects the Personal Banker I and II roles and considers factors such as location, skill sets, education, relevant experience, and training. The base pay estimate is $20.55 to $25.05 per hour.
The position may also include additional performance‑based incentive compensation.
