Oncology & Rheumatology Manager

Lead a Meaningful Oncology & Rheumatology Program in a Community That Truly Cares

This is not your average nursing leadership opportunity. This is a chance to lead a purpose-driven outpatient oncology and rheumatology program at one of Missouri's most financially stable and community-rooted critical access hospitals — located just south of Kansas City in a region with excellent housing, strong schools, and a tight-knit community that genuinely values its healthcare team.

You will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, manage a team of 13 staff across outpatient oncology, rheumatology, and infusion services, and be part of a leadership culture that promotes from within and invests in its people for the long term.

If you are an oncology or infusion nurse leader who values community, stability, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference — this role was built for you.

What You'll Do

As Oncology & Rheumatology Manager you will provide operational and clinical leadership for the outpatient oncology, rheumatology, and infusion program, manage 13 staff members including RNs, LPNs, and Medical Assistants across outpatient services, ensure high-quality patient-centered care delivery in alignment with organizational standards and clinical best practices, collaborate directly with the CNO and senior leadership on departmental strategy, quality improvement, and performance metrics, oversee daily operations including scheduling, staffing, and productivity across the outpatient department, serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff while fostering a positive, family-oriented team culture, manage departmental budget and operational performance in alignment with hospital financial goals, and support and contribute to the organization's quality pillars and performance-based bonus metrics.

What's In It For You

  • Competitive salary
  • Management bonus up to 5% — tied to hospital-wide quality and financial performance
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Direct report to CNO — high visibility and executive access
  • Clear growth path to Director or other senior leadership roles
  • A genuinely family-oriented, community-first culture where you will be valued and supported

What You'll Need

  • Active RN license — required | BSN or Operations or health administration background
  • Minimum 2+ years of management or operational leadership experience — required
  • Oncology and/or infusion experience — required
  • Rheumatology experience — a strong plus
  • Chemotherapy certification — preferred (can be obtained within 6–12 months post-hire)
  • BLS certification — required
