Position OverviewThis role leads a team of engineers and technicians to launch new production lines, launch individual machines, and modify existing production lines for new products. The position includes documenting new equipment, quoting new business, and maintaining long‑term equipment replacement plans.
Responsibilities- Creation and execution of strategic plans to keep the equipment portion of new business competitive.
- Ensure new equipment meets company standards and can achieve KPI targets.
- Maintain long‑term equipment plans.
- Support cross‑functional improvement teams as needed.
- Document new equipment, quote new business, and manage aging process replacement plans.
- Project management experience.
- Experience specifying requirements for production equipment.
- Experience with Solid Works or other 3D modeling software.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple functions and deadlines.
- Ability to make quick, accurate, data‑driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
- Willingness to train other associates and model ethical behavior.
- Experience with FMEA and other production control documentation.
- Experience with Six Sigma / Lean.
- 4‑year degree in manufacturing, electrical, mechanical engineering or related field.
- Experience with continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
