Offset Press Assistant

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks an Offset Press Assistant II to support high-quality print production for strategic communications and advocacy materials. In this hands-on role, you'll assist with press setup, paper handling, ink management, and quality checks for complex, deadline-driven projects. Working closely with senior press operators and client teams, you'll help ensure accurate color, registration, and finishing. Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, operation, and monitoring of offset presses to meet project specifications and quality standards
• Prepare paper, plates, inks, and other materials for scheduled print runs
• Perform routine press checks, color matching, and troubleshoot basic print issues
• Conduct regular equipment cleaning and minor maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation
• Accurately follow work orders, document production data, and maintain organized press area
• Collaborate with press operators, designers, and account teams to meet deadlines and client requirements
• Support quality control processes, identifying and reporting defects or inconsistencies
• Follow all safety, environmental, and equipment-handling procedures in the pressroom
