Overview
The Office of Admissions at the Lincoln Memorial University–College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park ( LMU - OPCVM ). This role assists in managing the applicant lifecycle, including file preparation, interview scheduling, and applicant communication. The Coordinator also supports recruitment activities, applicant advising, and recordkeeping functions, working closely with the Director of Admissions to advance the College’s recruitment and matriculation goals.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Experience in an office or administrative setting
- The offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate meeting all University driver eligibility requirements.
- This position may require occasional overnight travel for recruitment, outreach, or program-related activities.
- Relevant experience with the admissions process in higher education
- Knowledge of university program goals and objectives
- Familiarity with the veterinary medical field
Campus
Campus Orange Park Florida
Assist the Director of Admissions with development and implementation of admissions process plans
Review and process applications within Web Admit, including prerequisite checks, documentation reviews, uploads, and verification of applicant information
Serve as primary point of contact for test score receipt correlation (e.g., Altus/CASPer Assessment Exam scores).
Coordinate and schedule applicant interviews
Provide personalized file reviews for prospective or denied applicants upon request
Maintain stewardship of admissions-related records and collaborate with staff on applicant documentation requirements
The employee exercises discretion and independent judgment in coordinating programs and services, interpreting institutional policy, and making operational decisions that significantly affect the efficiency and effectiveness of the College
Serve as primary point of contact for campus-based admissions communications
Coordinate communications with prospective, applied, and incoming students to disseminate information about application processes, requirements, and timelines
Monitor and facilitate communication between LMU - OPCVM Admissions and applicants, as well as faculty, staff, and student ambassadors.
Coordinate and support recruitment events for prospective, interviewed, and admitted applicants
Represent LMU - OPCVM at local and national recruitment events
Coordinate campus visits, tours, and open house events for prospective students
Recruit, train, and oversee student ambassadors who serve as liaisons for admissions activities
Collaborate with LMU Undergraduate Admissions, local undergraduate programs, and Veterinary Health Sciences programs to promote LMU - OPCVM pathways
Assist with planning and implementation of new student orientation and other applicant-to-student transition activities
Contribute to required institutional and programmatic reports to support operations and accreditation
Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and external partners
Participate in University and College committees as assigned
Handle sensitive and confidential applicant and student information with discretion, in compliance with University policies and applicable regulations.
Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all communications and interactions
Perform related duties in support of the College’s and University’s mission and evolving needs
