New Directions Education is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in welcoming mainstream primary schools across the Harrogate area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs while gaining experience in a variety of school settings.
The Role- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN within mainstream classrooms
- Supporting children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt learning activities
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Assisting with behaviour support and emotional regulation
- Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or similar)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different school environments
- A genuine passion for helping every child reach their potential
