The Department of Education at Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for a full-time faculty position within the Doctor of Education (EdD) program. The successful candidate will possess expertise in curriculum and instruction, instructional practices, teaching and learning, or a closely related field and demonstrate a strong commitment to practitioner-focused doctoral education.
Required Qualifications- Earned terminal degree (EdD or PhD) in Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Leadership, Educational Leadership, Teaching & Learning, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in higher education and/or PK–12 settings or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of instructional practices, adult learning, and practitioner-based doctoral education.
- Strong written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience teaching at the doctoral level.
- Dissertation chairing or committee experience.
- Experience with qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods research.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).
- Teach doctoral-level courses in areas such as curriculum and instruction, instructional leadership, instructional practices, assessment, or related topics.
- Support EdD students through advising, dissertation supervision, and committee service.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and individualized student support.
- Collaborate with faculty to support program assessment, accreditation, recruitment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum development and course revision aligned with current research and practitioner needs.
- Maintain active scholarly engagement through research, presentations, publications, or professional involvement.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Engage with school and community stakeholders to support partnerships and program outreach.
