The Department of Biology and Chemistry at Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin August 2026.
The incumbent will teach general chemistry lectures and laboratories for majors and/or non‑majors, and other courses as department needs dictate. Teaching will comprise 80% of the work.
The instructor will develop and maintain a scholarly research program aligned with disciplinary interests, contribute to undergraduate research through guided mentorship, and perform service in alignment with the university’s mission.
Participation in LMU’s New Faculty Academy will be required, with moderated scholarship and service expectations in the first year and mentorship from a department‑assigned faculty member.
Qualifications- Earned Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Educational preparation meeting University and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools requirements.
- Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.
