The Coordinator of External Affairs reports to the Director of Alumni Engagement and External Affairs. The coordinator will assist with building and fostering relationships with LMU‑CVM alumni, constituents, and external stakeholders. They will be creative, strategic, and collaborative in their approach to program engagement to advance the mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Education & Experience- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, public relations, organizational communications, or a related program. - Preferred:
- Experience editing video content.
- Familiarity designing flyers and printed promotional materials.
- Knowledge of university program goals and objectives.
- Familiarity with the veterinary medical field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365.
- Relevant experience in higher education.
- Participate on CVM and University committees.
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.
- Coordinate with the Office of Alumni Engagement and Career Services for large‑scale events and travel.
- Collaborate with alumni relations team to coordinate communication campaigns and outreach efforts.
- Coordinate development of graphic content (including photography and graphic design) to advance the CVM image to outside stakeholders.
- Organize and execute procurement of digital images at CVM academic and social events.
- Assist in the management and creation of content for the LMU‑CVM website.
- Regularly update alumni records database with new contact information, career updates, and other relevant details.
- Assist in the execution of promotional events and partnerships.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and programs with CVM departments such as Admissions, Student Services, Career Services, Academic Affairs, Operations, and Outcomes Assessments.
- Collaborate with LMU departments such as Marketing and Public Relations and University Advancement.
- Maintain the CVM job board as needed.
- Maintain regular communications to CVM alumni and constituents, including newsletters, email campaigns, and social media posts.
- Coordinate inventory and procurement of recruitment materials for CVM departments.
- Serve as budget secretary for alumni and career services department.
- Assist in content creation for CVM social media channels.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
