Overview
The instructional faculty member will primarily teach Criminal Justice / Criminology courses at the Harrogate, Tennessee campus or online.
Qualifications- Required
Qualification:
Master’s degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology and teaching experience. - Preferred
Qualification:
Terminal degree in Criminal Justice / Criminology; evidence of effective teaching and the ability to teach statistics for criminology/criminal justice.
- Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and the community at large.
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.
- Comply with the University Faculty/Staff Policy Manual and announced requirements.
- Align course syllabi, goals, and objectives with program goals and student outcomes for each course taught.
- Develop a current syllabus for each assigned class and distribute it to each student.
- Submit a current copy of each syllabus to the department chair by the predetermined deadline.
- Evaluate enrolled students and submit grades to the Registrar by the predetermined deadline.
- Assure completion of the student course evaluation instrument for the semester as requested.
- Participate in the faculty evaluation process and use the results to improve teaching and strengthen the major.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the current position.
