Part-Time Athletic Trainer

Overview

The Part-Time Athletic Trainer at Lincoln Memorial University plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of student-athletes. The incumbent will work with the Head Athletic Trainer and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Provide medical coverage for athletic events.
• Maintain open and effective communication with coaches, athletic training staff, and team physicians.
• Oversee daily maintenance of facilities.
• Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to faculty, staff, students, and the community.
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.
• Participate on university committees.
• Primary duties include: provide medical coverage for athletic events; maintain excellent communication with sport coaches, athletic training staff, and team physicians; daily maintenance of facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.
• Complete required institutional and program accreditation reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the university.
• Work schedule:
  
  preferred availability for evenings, nights, and weekends, including events such as JFWA, tennis tournaments, and wrestling practices; position will require no more than 20 hours per week.

• Required: Bachelors or Entry Level Masters Degree in Athletic Training; NATABOC certified; licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee; current CPR / AED certification; valid driver's license.
• Preferred: Masters degree in Athletic Training or related field; 1-3 years of experience working with contact sports, preferably in a collegiate setting.
