Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join our maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties. Working in occupied and void homes, you ll carry out a wide range of carpentry repairs and installations while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.

• Carry out responsive and planned carpentry repairs within social housing properties
• Repair, replace, and install: internal and external doors; door frames and architraves; skirting boards; kitchens and worktops; flooring and timber structures; locks, ironmongery, and door furniture; windows and timber repairs
• Complete first and second fix carpentry work
• Undertake minor multi-trade tasks where required, including basic plumbing, tiling, decorating, or patch plastering
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Maintain accurate records of completed work using handheld devices or paperwork
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and well maintained

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience working as a Carpenter, ideally within social housing, property maintenance, or responsive repairs
• Strong knowledge of first and second fix carpentry
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
