Role DescriptionAdform Interiors is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of our growing commercial construction business. This role can be structured as either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate's experience and availability.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and bookkeeping, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position will work closely with company leadership, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Typical Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and customer billings
- Prepare and submit lien waivers, releases, and related construction documentation
- Track project costs and maintain accurate job costing records
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor project budgets and identify cost variances
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reporting
- Maintain W-9s, certificates of insurance, subcontractor compliance, and vendor records
- Support project managers with contract administration, change order tracking, and billing documentation
- Assist with year-end accounting activities and coordination with external accountants
- Maintain accurate records within accounting and project management systems
- Recommend and implement process improvements to support company growth
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience within the construction industry required
- Strong understanding of job costing, construction billing, retainage, and lien waiver processes
- Experience with Quick Books required
- Experience with Construction Online, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction management platforms preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
