Accounting Manager

We're partnering with a privately held, multi-entity organization with operations across retail, energy-related services, and property holdings to identify an Accounting Manager for a newly created role. This position will report to the Controller and support a growing, operationally diverse business with increasing accounting and systems complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
• Support accounting across multiple entities, including operating and property-based businesses
• Review agreements and perform financial analysis to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition
• Prepare budget-to-actual and management reporting
• Record intercompany, asset, liability, revenue, and expense transactions
• Oversee commission calculations and payments
• Prepare and file sales & use tax filings across multiple states
• Support ERP optimization, reporting, and team training
• Manage and develop a small accounting team
• Partner with senior accounting leadership to improve processes and controls
