A growing Construction organization is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide financial insight across the business. This position will manage day-to-day accounting activities while supporting project profitability, reporting accuracy, cash flow management, and operational decision-making. This is a great opportunity for an experienced construction accounting professional who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes, and working closely with both finance and operations teams.

What You'll Do:

+ Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations

+ Lead monthly close activities and prepare financial statements and management reporting

+  Manage construction accounting processes including WIP schedules, job costing, and percentage-of-completion reporting

+  Review project financials, cost-to-complete reports, and profitability trends

+  Monitor cash flow, collections, billing, and working capital

+  Support contract billing, change orders, retainage, and project-related financial requirements

+  Partner with operations and project teams to improve financial visibility and support decision-making

+  Develop and maintain accounting procedures, controls, and reporting processes

+  Supervise and mentor accounting staff while promoting accuracy and efficiency

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

+ Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience within Construction industry

+ Strong background with job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting

+ Experience overseeing full-cycle accounting for a contractor or subcontractor environment

+ Ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights to non-financial partners

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems
