Overview
We are seeking an experienced technical accounting consultant for a contract hybrid onsite role in Hartford. The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP, IFRS, and STAT accounting knowledge, advanced technical accounting skills, and experience supporting accounting workflow design. This is a contract role for 12 months.
Responsibilities- Support technical accounting activities, including GAAP, IFRS, and STAT accounting tasks.
- Design and improve accounting workflows and processes for the controllers team.
- Backfill and execute day‑to‑day accounting operations as needed.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 5+ years of relevant Technical accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience with GAAP, IFRS and STAT accounting
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Maryland Wage Range Transparency Law – Pursuant to Maryland’s Wage Range Transparency Law, the salary range displayed is for the Maryland market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non‑exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.
