Accounting Supervisor

? Our client is seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while partnering closely with leadership and project teams to drive financial performance and operational success.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll coordination, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Maintain accurate job costing across multiple construction projects.
• Prepare and manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting.
• Track project costs, revenue recognition, budgets, and profitability.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations teams to review project financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, banks, and tax partners.
• Support ERP/accounting system maintenance and optimization.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction, mechanical contracting, or project-based industries.
• Strong experience in:
  • Construction Accounting
  • Job Costing
  • Work-in-Progress (WIP) Reporting
  • Percentage-of-Completion Accounting
  • Project Accounting
• Experience working in a hands-on accounting role within a small to mid-sized organization.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, Foundation
  , or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical Contracting, or General Construction
  .
• Experience supporting multiple active construction projects.
• CPA or CMA designation is a plus, but not required.
