Introduction
The State of Connecticut, Department of Revenue Services (DRS) is seeking to fill one (1) Payroll Clerk position in the Payroll Unit. The Payroll Unit is part of the Business Office within the Department's Fiscal and Administrative Services Division. The payroll unit is responsible for the daily reconciliation and reporting required to administer the department's payroll in compliance with applicable state accounting and payroll requirements.
The payroll unit provides the Comptroller's Office with accurate records of the agency's biweekly regular, overtime, and supplemental payroll items, including reimbursements, retirement payouts, and time accruals, in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and state policies and procedures.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position, Monday through Friday, with a hybrid work schedule based in the Hartford office. Work schedules will be determined by supervisors based on operational needs.

In order to be considered for this job opening, you must be a current State of CT employee, who has worked for the state for at least six (6) months of full-time service or full-time equivalent service, absent any applicable collective bargaining language, and meet the Minimum Qualifications as listed on the job opening. For current state employees, salary calculations are not necessarily comparable from one of the three branches of state government (i.e., Executive, Legislative, Judicial) to the other.
