Document Control Assistant / Standards Admin
We are looking for a Document Control Assistant to join our team on a 6–8 month contract assignment with the potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to grow into an engineering support role.
If you've worked in a manufacturing environment, can read basic engineering drawings or blueprints, and enjoy detail-oriented work, we'd like to hear from you. The company is willing to train the right candidate on its systems and processes.
What You'll Do- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and parts lists for accuracy.
- Help create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other manufacturing documentation.
- Enter and update information in company databases.
- Assist with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
- Maintain organized engineering files and document revisions.
- Verify part numbers and identify missing or incorrect information.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and other departments to ensure documentation is accurate.
- Help release updated documents to the appropriate departments.
- Track document changes and maintain records.
- Follow company quality and safety procedures.
- Perform other administrative and documentation-related tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment (production, assembly, machine operation, quality, shipping/receiving, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, blueprints, or parts lists.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Experience using an MRP or ERP system (such as SAP).
- Familiarity with basic measuring tools such as a tape measure, ruler, or calipers.
- $26.00/hour
- Monday–Friday schedule with flexible start/end times
