Parts Advisor
Bertera Subaru Hartford is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to both our service department and retail customers by efficiently managing parts inventory, processing orders, and assisting customers with their automotive parts needs. Your expertise in automotive parts and exceptional communication skills will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the overall operations of our dealership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct automotive parts and accessories.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing expert recommendations based on vehicle specifications and requirements.
- Accurately process parts orders, including picking, packing, and shipping as necessary.
- Maintain organized inventory in the parts department, including receiving and stocking new parts, tracking inventory levels, and conducting regular audits.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely availability of parts required for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Utilize computerized parts catalogs and dealership management systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Stay updated on new products, services, and industry trends to enhance knowledge and provide better customer service.
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining the parts display area to ensure a professional appearance.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed, including invoicing and processing returns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive-related education or certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in an automotive parts department or related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and accessories.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in using computer systems, including parts catalog software and dealership management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
