Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Compensation:
Salary – $60,000 annually. Eligible for bonus or incentive plans.

The Operations Management Trainee (OMT) is an 18‑month structured training program designed to build leadership and operational knowledge within Ryder’s transportation and logistics business. Participants will collaborate across teams to understand business processes, metrics, and customer retention strategies, and will develop problem‑solving skills to support sound business decisions.

• Manage customer relationships, delivering quality interface and proactive management.
• Coordinate with rental, maintenance, asset management, sales, and marketing to optimize utilization, uphold policy compliance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, monitor breakdowns, and supervise technician work planning for efficiency and training.
• Track running costs and maintenance overheads to optimize spending.
• Collaborate with sales staff on customer calls and new business opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Relocate within the business unit upon completion of the training program.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least one year of customer service experience with issue resolution preferred.
• Advanced PC skills, including spreadsheets and word processing.
• Basic understanding of business finance and metrics.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.

The position is salaried at $60,000 annually with potential for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plans. Health and welfare benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan are offered.
